Areas

In room 5 we are learning about area. I know that a non-standard unit of measure is the same thing as a standard unit of measure but different size and a standard unit of measure is like centimeters and millimeters.

                                       
                                                           In this photo we were wrong
                                                            about our estimation because
                                                          6 not 5 students would fit in the                                          
                                                          area or shape.In this photo we made a shape and an
estimation of how many people could
fit laying inside the area. We were trying
to find out the area of our shape using our                                  
body. This is a nonstandard unit of measure.
