Leaving Kids Home Alone Yes or No?

WALT use ethos, pathos and logos in a persuasive writing.

I absolutely believe that children under the age of 14 should always be with their parents when going out. Parents say kids are responsible, trustworthy and smart yet the government’s law is that only kids 14 and older can be trusted to be alone at  home.
First of all it is law. Parents that fail to follow this law can face 10 years in jail. Leaving kids alone can cause suffering or injury to health of the child. I believe that in the event that parents need to go out, they must be no longer than 15 minutes away and the child must know how to get help.
Secondly a caution about leaving children at home without adult supervision  is the fact that someone could break into the house. The burglar could hurt the child. The burglar could kidnap the child. The child could try and fight back and get seriously injured .
Finally there is always the risk that the unsupervised  child could  do something dumb, stupid or irresponsible. The child might get hungry and try make some food and get burned or burn something. The kid might brake something e.g glass, something sharp and get hurt trying to clean it up. The child might try to do something they’re not allowed to do.

Children under the age of 14 should always be with their parents when going out. The government’s law is that “no one under 14 can be alone at home without a parent” and the consequence of failing to uphold this law can be very serious.
